Wow! It’s been a personal dream of mine to travel to India and visit some of the most ancient and holiest temples and sites of pilgrimage, not only to deepen my relationship with my yoga practice, but also, deepen my connection with the land I call my home.

Come join me on a special journey of travel through time, to land so ancient, so sacred, steeped in wisdom, that will add a whole new level of depth to your practice. We will chant in temples, learn mythology and history and actually witness yoga in practice, in culture, in tradition. In India!

On this retreat, we are visiting some of the most famous temples in South India. Some of these temples are thousands of years old, their architecture is mind blowing and the Gods and Goddesses that reside here are oh-so-powerful!

For the first time ever, this retreat will also count as a time of study. For teachers, you will be able to add 25HRS to your registered hours with Yoga Alliance. Come join us in Goa for a one-of-a-kind yoga training, with the option to dive deep into the parts of your practice and teaching that you want to develop.

With a modular approach, you will have the freedom to choose to do one, two or all three modules, each very different, taught by three expert teachers. Each 100HR module will be covered over the course of 2 weeks:

Module 1 - Align - August 31st - September 14, 2024
Is all about the physical body. Understanding postures, intelligent sequencing, posture adjustments, myofascia and MFR sequencing, injury management, prehab, rehab and so much more!

Module 2 - Awaken - September 14 - September 28, 2024
Is all about feeding the soul. This module will cover yoga history, yoga philosophy including the yoga sutras, Bhagvad Gita, yoga mythology, working with God and Goddess archetypes, chanting practice, Ayurveda and Ayurvedic applications and more!

Module 3 - Ascend - September 28 - October 12, 2024
This module is all about the subtle body. So breathwork, proper application, guiding pranayama classes and sequencing, practicing and teaching meditation, and mindfulness. We will work to create a gorgeous toolbox of practices to help you build your practice and share with your students.

HAPPIEST YOGA DAY!

It’s been a couple weeks since this amazing @rumiearth event happened at @dubaisportsworld on the 30th of June, and I can’t not talk about how fabulous it was! Not only was it the biggest event in Dubai for yoga day, but it was also the lmost well curated and beautifully attended.

The energy throughout the magical Sunday was incredible. From all the teachers who taught all the different sessions, to all the amazing yogis who showed up to share their fantastic practice with us all, to @beatxx.percussionist and his fantastic live music that set the tone for all the beautiful sessions, especially mine. ❤️🙏🏽

A huge thank you to my gorgeous gang of yoga angels for sharing space with me and helping me guide the yoga and partner work session - @miriam_flows @nunisoriano @the_path_of__freedom and my girl Brigette ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏽

The whole morning was a true celebration of our wonderful practice and a gorgeous reminder of how lucky we are to be able to share our passion for what we love with the greatest community of like minded people. ❤️❤️❤️✨🙏🏽

STRENGTH

I’ve been thinking about this word a lot lately. And all the meanings it has had in my life so far. I remember a time when I was broken, so broken that strength meant to cut the world off and put on an armour of isolation so I could heal and put myself back together. I grew big. And bulky. I shaved my head and didn’t allow myself to cry. This was strength to me.

At some point a few years ago, I slipped off the armour. Decided it was time to feel again. To step into the world more fully and connect with people that felt safe. I wanted to find myself. To get in touch with all of me. And so connection felt like where I poured all my resources and found my strength.

Today, I feel like I walk around with my emotions on my sleeve. There is no need to hide and no need to pretend. All of me deserves to have a voice. All my selves are welcome. There is a real desire to bring into the light all the emotions, and the patterns behind the emotions. To get in touch with my feminine. To heal my wounded masculine. To live in true harmony with all that wants to live within me. I want to move from that place. I want to live from that place. I want to love from that place. It feels like I’m walking around naked. The most vulnerable I have ever been. And yet, it feels like I’m the strongest version of myself that has ever lived.

If you ever feel like you’re going through it, know that it’s okay. It’s life, asking you to rise. To get strong. Stronger than you ever thought you could be. Go through what you are going through. Because on the other side is a version of you that deserves to be brought to life. ❤️✨

I have arrived at my own definition for a word that means the world to me. Like minded people deciding to get together and come together to work on themselves and make the world a better, more conscious, more compassionate place - in a time when I feel like we need it the most.

More than that, it’s been the reason I show up to teach. As a person who loves the journey I am on, the thing that keeps me going are the people I have around me. My mentors, my fellow teachers and my beloved students.

Having the opportunity to teach one last time for Inspire Yoga, that has been my home and the family that helped me grow into who I am today, I just want to say a big thank you to Elisa, @thirstyyogi your friendship and mentorship has meant so much to me.

A huge thank you to @yofit_difc for all your love. And to @difc for this gorgeous location that has been one of my all time favorites to teach at.

To everyone who showed up to practice, thank you for presence, your energy and the kindest words. You are amazing Dubai yogis. ❤️❤️❤️❤️✨🙏🏽

What an amazing experience with a group of absolutely fabulous human beings! It was so fantastic being back in Africa, and doing it with like minded people made it all the more special. Tanzania is a gorgeous country - the people, the nature, the weather and the wildlife.

One of my favorite things to do was look out the window on this trip. Green till the eyes can see. And my most unforgettable memory on our adventure was hearing the lions roar at sunrise as we did our early morning chanting practice on the Serengeti. Absolutely insane! Or maybe they were just joining in 😉❤️✨

Either way, 💯 magic! And like every time we do one of these, it makes me realize how much I love what I do and how grateful I am to be living an adventurous life.

A huge thank you to @sugarcane_elephant for all her love for making sure we have the most unforgettable time, always. Love you so much and here’s to the next one! ❤️🙌🏽🤗

In my many years of practicing and teaching yoga,

In my many years of practicing and teaching yoga, I have attended my fair share of trainings and the one thing I look for in all my connections with teachers, is whether I can see the teacher as someone who can be my mentor in a particular area of passion and growth.

When we attend a training, it is more than just a sharing of information. It is about the relationship that we start to cultivate on the training and can see building beyond the time spent together. Mentorship is such an important part of any training and so a few questions worth asking oneself as one decides which training to sign up for, are:

‘Is this teacher someone I resonate with?’

‘Do I trust this teacher?’

‘Will this teacher continue to hold me accountable for my progress beyond the training?’

‘Do I feel like this teacher has my best interest at heart?’

A mentorship with the right teacher can truly be a transformative experience. As mentors have the capacity to open windows and doors for us into areas we didn’t even think about.

Guidance on any journey is so necessary and this was always meant to be the way growth and learning took place in the past. Surround yourself with amazing teachers who continue to grow themselves, as well as inspire and challenge you to evolve as well.

Belly breathing, versus abdominal breathing, versus thoracic breathing. What is the difference and why do we need to care? What do we need to warm up in order to create space for the spine? How do you work deeper muscles and activations to protect the lower back? We will answer all these questions and more as we explore the practice of backbending,

This masterclass comes to you from all of my years of exploration. The depth of my backbending practice has been full of slowly learning lots of technique. From breathwork, to bandhas, to really effective warm up drills that make deep backbending feel yummy and delicious.

Come join me for a technique-based flow, full of sensation and an invitation to lean in and get vulnerable.
